Iris More, L.C.S.W., is the founder of Pinecrest Counseling and a licensed psychotherapist specializing in counseling, onsite training, collaborative divorce, and life coaching tailored to the unique needs of individuals, families, and groups. With extensive experience, she has worked with individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, adults, groups, organizations, military members, and their families, regardless of sexual orientation or cultural background.
Ms. More serves as an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor for student interns, in addition to teaching court-mandated divorce classes for children and adults. Her expertise includes conducting home studies for adoption and custody cases, forensic assessments, and serving as an expert witness in high-profile child custody cases. She has contributed to Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a counselor and lead member of the clinical crisis team, addressing critical cases within the school system. Her clinical experience spans crisis stabilization, residential and outpatient counseling, presenting, and training in conflict resolution and mediation.
Ms. More is also highly knowledgeable about Dade County community resources and serves as Board President of M.U.J.E.R. Inc., a non-profit organization supporting victims of domestic violence. Recognized for her contributions, she was honored as the 2009 Counselor of the Year by the Dade Counseling Association and received a proclamation from the Board of Directors of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and the City of Homestead.
Ms. More’s approach to therapy focuses on helping individuals navigate their challenges, uncover stressors, resolve conflicts, and heal emotional wounds. She specializes in strengthening relationships and empowering individuals, particularly those experiencing divorce, depression, grief, stress, anxiety, addiction, and trauma-related issues.
