Iris More, L.C.S.W.,

is the co-founder of Sunset Behavioral Health and a licensed psychotherapist providing counseling, onsite training, collaborative divorce and life coaching tailored to each individual, family or groups needs. Iris has experience <strong>working with individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, adults, groups, organizations, military members and their families regardless of sexual orientation or cultural background. She is an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor for student interns. She also teaches the court-mandated divorce classes for children and adults, conducts home studies for adoption and custody cases and has forensic experience in addition to serving as an expert witness in high profile child custody cases. Iris has been involved with Miami-Dade County Public Schools providing counseling and served as a lead member of the clinical crisis team handling the most critical cases for the school system. Iris More’s clinical background includes working in crisis stabilization, residential, outpatient counseling, presenter and a conflict resolution and mediation trainer. She is knowledgeable of Dade County Community Resource and in addition, she serves as Board President of M.U.J.E.R. Inc., a non-profit organization that assists victims of domestic violence. She has been the recipient of the 2009 Counselor of the Year from the Dade Counseling Association and received a Proclamation from the Board of Directors of the Miami Dade County Public Schools and the City of Homestead.

My goal is to help you the individual seeking counseling to work through their issues, uncover the source of the stressor, resolve the conflicts and heal emotional wounds. I specialize in strengthening relationships and individuals. I work with many individuals during and after a divorce, those going through a depression, grief, stress, anxiety, addiction and trauma-related issues. I work with adults, adolescents, children and couples. I do both short and long-term therapy in a nurturing, nonjudgmental environment while adapting my treatment to the client’s needs and demands. I am passionate about my profession and devoted to my patients. I supervise mental health professionals seeking licensure, teach and serve as President of the board of directors of a non-profit organization serving victims of domestic violence.
